Decorative frames not extending to images

The layout redesign of my site is almost complete, but I still have one issue that needs solving. It's immediately apparent when you look at the new index page (http://www.technfun.com/temp/index.html): the white frames that should be around the whole of the post cut out when the text does, without encompassing the images.

Being very much of a css newbie, I'm not sure how to fix this. I've tried something, but to no avail.

After one look at your page, without investigating the CSS, i suspect you are failing to clear your floats.
