I am trying to figure out how to change certain text's font color, in the text area. I have been looking everywhere, but I haven't found a solution.
Any help would be great,
thanks,
mazzzzz

If you mean to change one word inside of a textarea so it is different than the rest, you can not do that.

couldn't you parse through the entered text and search for a given word?

you can use a <pre> instead.
you wont be able to change it like a textbox.

note though that IE, FF3, opera, and safari all now support contentEditable.
heres what used to be an IE-only demo (http://samples.msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/samples/author/dhtml/refs/contentEditableEX2.htm)

I could work, an example would of course be great :).

Thanks for the help so far,

Or you could use some RTE (http://www.fckeditor.net/demo)

You can change the font color of text area dynamically..
textArea.htmlText = '<font color = "#colorvalue">' + text + '</font>'

Yes, but not part of the text.
