PHP, ASP or ASP.net?

I am going to have to re-develop a database driven website soon. Some of it is in PHP and some of it is using ASP.net. We need to standardise it so that just one language is used for the whole site (besides html obviously).

I currently only know a small amount of php and no asp or asp.net. The site will consist of forms which will enable a user to select from different drop down lists to search a database.

Which programming language do you suggest will be best to use? Which langauge is easiest to use?

I understand that ASP and ASP.net are completely separate languages also?

ASP - Don't bother. Its fun to use, but there are newer technologies now.
ASP.NET - Easier to use, you'll be stuck on Windows IIS servers though. Gotta learn C#, VB, or another .NET language to really make good use of it.
PHP - More difficult than ASP.NET without its form developer. Also more complicated than C# since its datatype weak.

From the sounds of what you have, ASP.NET is you're best option. All of the design elements are built in, and you can visually create a lot of things that should fully cover you're needs.
