Hello,
I used to upload files to our web host (hostmonster) server using cuteftp / filezilla.
Recently our ISP seem to have got some problem and whatever may be the size of the file i upload, only around 500 bytes are getting uploaded.
Usually my files will be in few kilobytes.

I have ran tracert command and it shows 'request timed out' in most of the lines.
changing the ISP is not possible now.

Is it possible for me to upload the files fully using FTP?
Can it be done using proxy?
Please suggest any solutions to upload files properly.

Thank you.

Your host got a file manager in your control panel you can try? Maybe for some reason your isp have put a throttle on ftp ports

Hello Nightfire,
Thank you for your reply.
I have tried the file manager in control panel and it didnt worked.

However, I could upload using web based ftp tools like net2ftp.

Thank you

Have you tried using a computer on a different connection to the internet (ideally on a different ISP) to see if the problem persists?

I don't think that ISP can have any problem with FTP , unless ISP is started by some 15 year old guy.

Try making web account with free hosting provider like tripod.com and try using FTP with their account to see the issue is really with ISP or not.
