Hi. When browsing sometime ago (whether it was this site or another I can't recall) but I thought I saw a script where a webpage displayed another websites home page in miniature within the same screen. I can't seem to find it now, and am unsure what to type into search engines to try and find the code. Have tried url in url, and various combinations of links, and displays, and image slideshows etc. As I believe it may have related to a list of links, that when clicked or mouse wnet over, the linked web page displayed in a size similar to this window where we can write messages to the forum. Fairly big, as opposed to a thumbnail. I liked this idea as it kept viewers on the site and yet they could see examples of other sites. Marvellous!
Does anybody have any ideas please as to what the code is, and if indeed it is possbile?
Many thanks in anticipation.
Andy

You are probably looking for an <iframe>

Research that and see if its what you are looking for.

In case you need the code, it would be:

xHTML: <iframe name="iframe_name_here" src="url of webpage" height="auto" width="auto" />

HTML: <iframe name="iframe_name_here" src="url of webpage" height="auto" width="auto"></iframe>

HI. Thanks both for taking the trouble to kindly help me.
Yes, have tried tis out and is sort of it. Any way of getting the webpage which is displayed to miniaturise so it can all be seen rather than with slides at the side and bottom at all?
Thanks.
Andy

Unfortunately no. What you may have been seeing was a screen shot of the website that was resized to a smaller resolution. The portfolio on my site does something similar.

A big thank you to everyone who has submitted help. The grey box link i agree is cool. And yep have spotted the search type link you kindly mentioned. Maybe as aerospace Eng pointed out, maybe they were screen shots i had seen. Wish i had taken more attention of it now. thanks again.
