View Full Version : configurable scroller

I've been looking for a scroller that allows me to set the colors AND change the text dynamically.

I don't know how to chang the color on text fields so that is out of the question (unless someone wants to tell me how - that would be easiest because the scroller I'm currently using is a text box)

I also tried using ProScroll (http://www.javascriptkit.com/java/java20.shtml) but I can't figure out how to change the text

That's Java, not JavaScript. Maybe a moderator can move the thread for you.

<edit> wow that was quick :)</edit>

I'm pretty sure that most scrollers are Javascript...
The one I'm using now:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"><!--
ScrollSpeed = 200;
ScrollChars = 1;

function ScrollMarquee() {
window.setTimeout('ScrollMarquee()', ScrollSpeed);
var msg = document.scrollform.box.value;
document.scrollform.box.value = msg.substring(ScrollChars) + msg.substring(0, ScrollChars);

<body bgcolor=#000000 text=#FFFF00 link=#43CD80 vlink=#FFFFFF
<form name=scrollform>
<input name=box type="text" size="22" value=" Move the cursor over a link to see a description here." readonly></form>
