View Full Version : FLV player online problem

I have some .flv video files that I downloaded from YouTube and want to link them to my website.
Using FLV Player 2.0 they work fine on my computer.

The problem is when I upload them to my website and click on the link, when FLV player opens it just says failed to load followed by (file name.flv)

I know they can only be viewed by anyone who has the FLV Player

Could anyone please help me to get the files to load so that site visitors who have the player can see the videos.

Also if possible I would like them also to open in VIDEOBOX just like you can do with YouTube videos.

This is the code I have used without success. (The image being the button).

<a href="../videos/Bee Gees - Massachusetts.flv"><img src="../images/artists/b/beeGees.jpg" width="121" height="121" border="0" /></a>

I have put a test page on my website HERE (http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/archives/uk/uk65-test.htm)

If you click on the right hand (Bee Gees) image a message comes up if you want to Open, Save or Cancel.
I would also like them to automatically stream instead of having to be downloaded.

If you click on open then the FLV Player appears with that message: failed to load followed by (file name.flv)

All help is very much appreciated

I can't open the link of abligle105, but I know if you want to play flv files on your web, you must insert codes for embed a player as: codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0"
