View Full Version : Help, I need a PHP Expert

Hello, I am starting a site called "Car Creators" where people draw sketches of cars, like concept cars or radical car ideas. Thats where I need a PHP Master so people can send in there own sketches and I review them, and then other people rate them. After this it goes to a toplist to show the top 10 best sketches. I know that is going to take PHP to do it but I don't know how. I started an HTML part at http://www.vc-source.com/car%20creators/index.html. So can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

I checked your pages.I just wonder, do you want to draw car images using PHP or what are you looking for??To the best of my knowledge, i dont think you can draw images or something like that.PHP is a server side lang.
I really dont understand what your problem is, unless you specify it clearly, none of the efficient php programmers who are here cant be helpful.
So, you better try to be explain in detail.

No what I want to do is people send in sketches of like concept cars by browsing for the images on there computer, so they already have a dreawing that they made and there uploading it to me, ok then I want the people to rate the sketches, on quality.
Do you understand now?
You can't just get someone to make a php script for free. If you have trouble with existing code, we can help, but we are not sitting here to code every PHP script that u ask for.

If I read it right, you are looking for a file uploader, so people can create designs for cars then send them in to you by PHP.
The upload script below is the one that firepages wrote, It is the one that I use if I ever need to be able to upload files. Thanks firepages :D
$dir="users"; // Directory name to upload files to
$ext = substr ($myfile, -4); // Strip all but the file extension
$filetypes = array ('.gif','.jpg','.jpe','.bmp','.png'); // File entensions to accept
copy ($myfile,"$dir/$filename") or die("Unable to upload file"); // Upload file
echo "<p style=\"color:green;\">File uploaded sucessfully</p>"; // On Success
echo "<p style=\"color:red;\">Choose a file</p>"; // Text to display before upload
<form action="upload.php" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post">
<input type="file" name="myfile"><br><br>
<input type="submit" value="Upload">
Bear in mind that you will have to have the access on your server to be able to upload files. Hope this helps... :thumbsup:

thanx guys, but i'm looking for free code- and the site is already up and running- it is just 2 pages i must rebuild into forms. One must enter data or change data on the database and the other must query the data to view it....
i am not very good at programming and stuff and i wanted a nice script that alowed visitors to fill in a form and send attachements as well..... auch
i found a nice script, not to hard to change to my liking
easy to use and all that
there u go
u can download the script
there is even an example form (called test)
optional u can let em upload files to mail or to save to ur server
