One of my clients uses Microsoft Outlook to send out emails. Recently, I've been asked to send the emails out myself. I thought that it would be pretty straight forward: all I had to do was to retrieve the folder which holds the email addresses from their computer and paste it in mine.
The problem that I'm having at the moment is that when I go to C > Program Files, I cannot locate the Microsoft Outlook folder.
Can anybody tell me where this folder is usually stored or if there is a better way to retrieve the email addresses? I'm using Windows XP.
Thanks
It's stored under Documents & Settings\Username\Local settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
You'll need to have hidden files shown in Explorer.
Outlook also shows you where it is in the Accounts window. You can try searching for an outlook.pst file if that's easier.
You check it from Microsoft Outlook itself.
Go to :
Tools -> Options -> Mail Setup -> Data Files
Here you can find a location where your data is saved

^ Following the path, I was able to find the Outlook folder. There are only 4 files listed (pls see attachment). I tried to open the files and obviously couldn't open them just by clicking on them or trying with Outlook. I'm wondering if any of these files hold the email addresses database.

If you just want their contacts in outlook, you can export them to a file and then import them on your computer. You can use the Import and Export menu option under File to do that. Select export to file and you can select the type and what you want to export.
