hi ,

Is there any way that when i open any site on browser or in any tabs then the title of page does not come on the top of page. Is there any way to block that

If you really wanted to achieve this and not alter your viewers browsers, then you could leave the page untitled. However, that would impact negatively (to some degree) on your seo.

[edit]
oops, speed-reading led me astray.
you seem to be asking... how you would remove the header along the top, when you open a site in your own browser.

Hmm, I don't know how to change the browser config.

What are you trying to hide?

What are you trying to hide?

Quite possibly a rick roll?

Don't see what this would affect though?

Maybe an attempt at a different proxy?

Usually sometimes at my work i read various articles on the websites keeping images off so that on one notices what i am reading . But the title on the top of the browser tells the story . so if i can turn off that title , then no worries :D

Sounds like you need this addon

You could try installing IE7Pro (http://www.ie7pro.com/), its an addon and then you could write a plugin for it that sets the title to what you want for all pages.

http://www.ie7pro.com/user-plugin.html

document.title = 'PHP giving error in script';

I think we are overlooking the more obvious solution: Just minimize the browser while someone is looking over your shoulder at your computer screen. Then when they leave, restore the window and keep reading.

If i minimize the window when they are looking , then they will obviously think that i was doing something wrong . or if i do it everytime.

That tab rename is good because usually people have only few seconds to look at the screen , so they don't have time to read the content of page but they can just look at the title of the page to get an idea.

I have seen the eyes of my receptionist and she always looks at the title and tabs ;)

There is also good software called Taskbar hide , which hides eveything with hot key and make only selected things visible but again we can't do it when someone is watching

Open it in a new window. Have taskbar on autohide. Hear someone coming, a quick alt+tab to the other window. No one will ever know

Then try and read stuff that is loosely related to your job. As an example, if someone asks why you are reading slashdot or digg, you can say that you are just keeping up on new tech industry news.

If you are good at your job and always get your work done, your employer shouldn't make a big deal out of you taking a little time to read the internet. (Assuming of course you only read stuff safe for work)

They have never said anything to me and won't say it either in future . But i don't want them to give any opportunity or some small doubt in their mind i am reading something non work related.

E.g This current topic title appears in the top of page . There is an probablity of 37.15 % that any smart person will get an idea of what i am doing. Sometimes the topics in other forums are clearly understood by others so creates bit of doubt what he is doing.

I think even if the employer says you can visit any site , we should try to minimize the visibillity of these sort of signs and make him feel that this person never visits any external site. ;)

Here is a better tutorial for writing user plugins.
