Is it possible to code Graphical interfaces for programs similar to the style like that used for Hamachi (https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/vpn.asp?lang=en) or similar programs using C++.

I've been looking around, but the only thing I've found so far is links for game programming.

Yes it is. Are you sure you have Googled it correctly?

My typical search is GUI with C++ or something based on that, but all I get is tutorials for game design. Could you please lead me in the right direction?

I don't know C++, but here's a tutorial that might help you.
Here (http://www.bluesfear.com/tutorials/C++window_p1.php)

Or here (Windows only)
Here (http://www.winprog.org/tutorial/)

Producing a window in C++ (http://www.bluesfear.com/tutorials/C++window_p1.php#) is one of the ugliest practices of coding around

GUIs in C++ are only ugly when you use the platform's native API. Especially if that platform happens to be Windows. Frameworks make your life 100x better and you get cross platform support out of the deal.

I recommendation would be start learning to use opengl

http://www.opengl.org/

it's a great cross platform graphics library
