need to create links

hi
i am restyling my site - and want to use this flashbar

however - i cant get the buttons to become links - i have only been able to get it so when you click on the actual word it links -

i need it so that when i click on the word or the local area around a work it activates that link

any help appreciated

Create a fully transparent box over the word on the same layer. It has no fill around it for anyone to hit (or click).
