LAN connection in Window Vista

Everytime , i put computer in sleep mode , Then after resuming back my internet connection through LAN is gone . Then again i have to click on

Diagnose and repair , then Automatically get IP and then it works.Why i have to do it everytime.

Possibly because when your computer is put to sleep, the network card is being powered off to save power. You should be able to check your power settings and change what hardware is "put to sleep" when you tell windows to put your machine to sleep.

When i do it in Windows XP (standby) Even then power is off but when i resume , there is no problem in internet connectivity

I think there is an update for this issue in Vista. Can't remember which one exactly though.
