Hi
I have suddenly developed a problem with OE
I have 2 webmail servers and my primary server is btinternet.com I can retrieve all of my mails from both servers and I can send mails through my 2nd server no problem but every time I try and send a mail using my btinternet server it gets stuck in the OE outbox and I receive an error message.
I can only send an email using btinternet.com if I go to my webmail and send from there. I have contacted btinternet help and they have told me to check my OE account configuration settings which I have done several times and I have also deleted my account and re-set it but the problem persists.
I have also disabled my anti-virus software, firewall and email scanning and then tried to send but that does not work either and so I don't think it is connected to my anti-virus software.
I ran a virus scan which turned up something called 'Btmailer', has anyone ever heard of this ? I am of course suspicious that this may be the cause. Norton deleted 'Btmailer' but if it this causing the problem deleting it has not made any difference.
Does anyone have any ideas what my problem is, has anyone ever heard of a virus called 'Btmailer' ??
Thanks for any input.
