"\n" in blacknorm

$TEXT is a text that i want to structure by using esc.seq. "\n" new line

but this has no effect in blacknorm.. the text does not become structured.. how can i type $TEXT , so that the esc.seq. has an effect?

It sounds like your string contents of $TEXT are stored within single quotes, i.e. 'Here is a\ntext'. In single quotes, the newline \n has no effect. Change your single quotes to double quotes to take care of that problem.
