Any one know how to remote startup a vista computer, so I don't have to have someone else do it when I'm out from home.

Set your BIOS to have wake on lan enabled. Then look for a program called wol.exe. You can send what is called a 'magic packet' and that will turn on your PC. It will only work if you use a router to connect to the internet and that will need to be always on.

Will it work if the computer is connected wirelessly to the router? I guess not.

Initially I would have said no your can't but I thought I would do a quick google first:

A few specific hardware manufs support WWoL it would seem. But as opposed to wired WoL which is 99% available, wireless would appear to be more miss than hit.
