Complete backup ....should I upgrade from premium to vista business

Should I go with a program like Acronis® True Image EchoTM Workstation

or Acronis® True Image 11 Home

for a complete backup or should I upgrade from premium to vista business instead, which allows full backup.

True Image 11 Home would be fine. I upgraded from Vista Business to Vista Ultimate. I used Acronis to backup my previous business system just in case.

So say you backup on true Image 11 in a EHD and your computer hard drive crashes. Does true Image 11 save your whole computer as a .iso file?

No it saves it as a virtual partition that is still accessible meaning you can browse it still so you can get the files you need. It would be a good idea to save it to an external harddrive or burn it to dvd(s) which Acronis does allow. It also allows you to create a boot cd just in case you need to restore your image to a new harddrive if your old one fails. If your old one still works you can restore your old harddrive image directly within Windows.
