how would i make error pages?
I.E:

real link: http://www.warpcell.com/articles/
mis-typed link: http://www.warpcell.com/article/

how would i make it so if the user did the mis-typed link it would direct them to a custom error page?

You mean unknown typos, any typos?

Got Apache? Try mod_speling. :D

ok... if you're allowed to use .htaccess then try this:

make an error page which can be understood by non-geeks and then make a file called ".htaccess" (sometimes windows doesnt like having nothing infront of the dot... in which case call it "mongooses.htaccess" and remove the "mongooses" bit when youve uploaded it. ;))

in your file youve just created put this:

ErrorDocument 404 http://www.example.com/errorpage.html

make sure that page exists or youre server will be stuck in endless loops...

you could mess around with other errors too, 401, 403, 500, and 501 are the most common. actually 200 would be the most common... thats always good fun... ;)

now read this:

http://javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess.shtml

does that help at all?
