php-gtk problem

Anyone ever use this on Win98? I'm having some problems trying to get anything to work. From what I've seen, the test directory included is meant to show applications on screen?

I don't get anything to show up at all. I get a dos screen show for about 1/2 second and then nothing happens.

I've followed the readme file too, even looked at the site but can't find much help on there for it.

often its just getting the command line correct... but yes php-gtk is a little ropey on win98... though it does work
