I've been wondering, how many reputation points constitutes a "distinguished road", or "shameless behavior in the past", or "a spectacular aura about"? I searched the feedback/announcements forum, but didn't find anything. Sorry if I'm being ignorant here, was there some announcement or thread I missed?

And how does it work that some reps have more weight than others? What calculation makes that happen?

I did find that.

Register Date Factor
The number of reputation points that a user is able to give or take is dependent on several factors, with the length they have been registered as one of them. A user's power is first initialized at 1 and then this factor and the factors that follow are used to increase it. For example if you set this to 365, every 365 days that the user has been a member of your forum, they would gain one point. So if they have been a member for five years, they would gain 5 points of power for a total of 6.

Post Count Factor
The amount of posts that a user has can also affect their reputation power. Set this to number of posts that you want to award one point for. For example, set this to 50 and for a user with 500 posts, they would gain 10 points of power.

Reputation Point Factor
The users current reputation score can also affect their reputation power. Set this to 100 and a user with a reputation of 1000 would gain 10 points of reputation power. If you set any of the power factors to 0, that will effectively remove that factor from having an effect on the user's reputation power.

Minimum Post Count
If the reputation system is enabled, anyone will be able to rate a post but only users with a post count above the level you set here will be able to actually give points or take points from another user.

Minimum Reputation Count
As with the post count above, a user must have a reputation above this level to be able to give or take points from another user's score.

First of all, apologies for hijacking the thread binaryWeapon, I've got questions too.

When I go ut User CP, I can see my reputation which says "Latest Reputation Recieved", then ther's a list. When I looked on the list, I'm seeing only 5, but I'm certain there are more...or maybe removed?

How can we see the (real) total number of reputations in a long list? Is there any settings that I might miss?

*slaps his head for noobishness*

You can only see the 5 latest reputations that you received by default with the vBull reputation feature rangana.

Binaryweapon, here's an image that could somehow enlighten you with your question:

That list is incomplete to describe our "wow spammer" .:p

Thanks don! I assume this particular forum does not use anything greater than a spectacular aura? (On the front page it says Aero has 258 reps, and he only has a spectacular aura).

Also, I think we've finally found what .o0O0o.o0O0o. was searching for (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=138106), -99999 rep = infamy!

Yet in my usercp it says I have only 246 rep points. Negative rep maybe?

That explains why he only has a "spectacular aura" :)

All my reputation points and "description" in other forums matches that of the image, unless admin changes it it won't be the same.

Here's a little reputation FAQ I made in another forum:

Wow. In our forum reps are so few and far between that reaching 1500+ would be virtually impossible. Thanks again don, great resource. You have tons of rep on that other forum!

Yeah because of that reputation FAQ xD

In my experience with other forum (I have about 900 rep points), when they started putting/turning on the reputation feature, the admin gave all mods and co-admins a bigger rep power (about 20 rep power, full blobs) and they will be the ones who will spread it to helpful members, etc. So far circulation is good, and there was no abuse that occurred.

In Ceege.net, I have almost 3000 rep points.
