just wondering if someone can try the onmouseover whipper and see if it works for them. I have used it on my website in the past and went to use it again and have issues for some reason. Oh yeah and I'm dumb at this website stuff so use small words:)

I don't know what you are talking about so could you explain, and do you have a link so we could even test whatever it is?

I wouldn't call yourself dumb either. It makes it look like you don't care about learning.

yeah not dumb, just still learning.

http://http://www.javascriptkit.com/mousewhipper/index.htm
is a script I used for my site example: http://www.borealis-glass.com/MarblesArchived.htm I went to use it again and it isn't working for me.

I'm sorry for the vague question, I thought this forum was attached to this site and when I hit contact it said I should ask the forum.

Thanks!

No worries, I just want you not to give yourself reprimands for not knowing everything about web design!

I understand what you are asking, now that I see what this 'whipper' is. It works for me in IE7 and FF3.

What are you doing that doesn't work?

I'm uploading my pics from my HD, but it doesn't seem to be taking because when I hit the button to automatically size it doesn't register and when I go to the next step my photos don't show. I know I have done it before....dunno where I went wrong.

At least I know it worked for you and I'm not crazy just not doing something right. Thanks!

Any other thoughts on why this wouldn't work for me? Like I said I have used it before and want to use it on the pics that I am updating, but it isn't working. Dunno what I'm doing wrong.

The first thing I would do is double check the paths you are using for the images. It might be possible that you uploaded them into a different directory than you intended so the whipper can't find them. If the paths are correct, the next step would be to check to make sure the images actually uploaded. I know that when I am uploading to my server, my system sometimes "burps" and crashes the upload.

Lastly, as a worst case scenario, having looked at the source code for your example page, it shouldn't be too difficult to manually re-work it to show the updated images. We'd just have to know the exact location of the images on your server and the dimensions.

Welcome to CF.

I'm trying to load it from my hard drive. I just don't get it because I used this for my initial images...now it's not working for me. When I first used it I browsed and plugged in the file, then his auto detect and it detect the size and everything worked. Now I hit autodetect and nothing happens.

Grrr I'm getting frustrated, I guess I will just have to post two pictures of the pieces instead of trying to be fancy.

Try uploading the images to your server and use that as the path. If you are still having problems after that, we can try something else. As I said, worst case scenario is that we will have to manually edit the code you used previously, and for that, we will need definite image names, paths and dimensions.
