View Full Version : What do the terms INLINE and BLOCK actually mean?

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but I have actually tried looking up what this means and still can't understand what's being said. Display:block; and display:inline; don't seem to have any affect on anything when I've used them. So what are they actually for?
