Selling a custom website I had made. Decided to get into another type of work and don't want to do this business anymore. It's a real money maker and a one of a kind. I am selling it for over $100 less then I paid for it. It's all ready to go.

What you do is go into stores like say.... a grocery store, you sign them up for advertisement and they paid you monthly or however you want to set it up, and charge them like $50 a month, then you take 2 inside pictures and 1 outside picture. You go home and login to your admin account and type in the business Name, Address, Phone, Manager/Owner name, Description of business, upload the pictures, and a short video clip (Optional) you can charge to make it or ask them for one, and things like that. So people in the area, out of town, or out of state can check on a business if they are looking for something special or are visiting that town they can see what they have to offer.

The stores can have a seperate login which will take them to a form screen, and they type in new information they want you to change. So say they moved and also have a new phone number. They would type in the address and phone number and submit it, and it will email you the information. Also new businesses can contact you on it about listing theirs.

I am selling the whole website for $350 which is cheap. If you need a little custom changes made to it, I will help you out with that. Like change banner, or text, or categories.

Send me a private message for screenshots.

I think section is all for those PAYING others, as far as I know. So are you saying you'll pay a minimum of $100 for someone to take this site off your hands?

If so, I'm interested. If you're willing to pay $350, that's even better.

Fside is right. Furthermore, you're posting something "for sale", which isn't suitable in any of the Work Offers forums actually. This isn't a "buy/sell" place. Having said that, I'll allow this thread to remain up for now.

Well there is no selling topic on this entire website that I could find. The price is within the $100 - $500 price anyways, plus this is a free forum. Are you wanting to make a 10% profit on sales or something?

You're right, there isn't, which is deliberate. :) After all, CF can't accomodate all the forum categories under the sun. There are better forums out there for buy/sell type requests as far as virtual or physical goods.

You should open a new forum or sub-forum for it. Just put buy and sell at your own risk.

Without a doubt there should be a BUY/SELL forum, buyer beware obviously

WA just said that he intentionally doesn't have that forum. That doesn't sound like a man who is on the verge of adding it.

I'm pretty sure we use to have one and it obviously didn't work out.

Good memory. Yep, we did have a physical goods buy/sell forum, though to be fair, it was in the Active Members lounge area, and it didn't go anywhere.

Call me a cynic or a sceptic but, I think you have summed it up very well and I have highlighted the key point (as I see it). I think the two points are mutually exclusive and the real reason for your post is that it doesn't work. (edit: I mean not work as a business rather than not work as a program).

'Caveat emptor' as they used to say.

Well Bazz, if you must know. I am getting back into my old business of sign making. Which I cannot use this website for that. Therefor I want to make a little bit of my money back from purchasing this and helping me pay off the new business. There is one guy in new york who did the same thing for years and was making a 6 figure income. So I know it works.

Like I said a buy/sell for WEBSITES and logical goods is a good idea. Selling your old DVDs on this forum isn't a good idea and has nothing to do with "coding"

Yeah so can we get a strictly buy/sell websites forum, if it isn't a website, then scrape it?

You could hire someone at $15/hr to manage the site for you and take the extra for yourself. I wouldnt sell a website at less than 60% annual income (likely more %75 - 100).

I would need to see monthly stats logs and paypal/etc. histories before i'd even touch something like this.

This website is a full script ready to be used, it's not an on going business. I never get to go market it and sign people up for advertising.
