variables in vb?

do u know how can i do a vb application run in a web page?and how i can pass variables/????:????/
ex i would like to add in to a web page a small vb application which shows the value of a parameter

I don't think there's any way to run a Visual Basic application in a web page...in all of the VB books I've read, it came nowhere near putting apps in web pages...
