Hello everybody,

I am just starting a website with video tutorials, which are expected to be watched through my website. They are about 500 MB in size. Can you help me choose a fast and very reliable hosting? Do you think 24HostingNow might be what I am looking for? I have heard them to be a reliable host.

They are lacking in a lot of features. I suggest looking for a different host. www.cleverdot.com, www.siteflip.com, if you have videos that are 500mb in size then you can only host 2 videos as they only allow 1000mb of storage on their plans.

If your all video tutorials are 500MB in size, you should go for 24HostingNow as they give you 1000MB of disk space. They have excellent hosting plans for your website with high bandwidth connection and guaranteed uptime.
Check out the site: 24HostingNow[dot]com

This seems like a person from 24HostingNow showed up and answered this.

I'd suggest to listen to Aero.

Their latest review:

It has beome steadily and incresasinly from 1 of the best to one of the worst and we've been with em 5 years now and have seen it all right before our eyes. (http://www.vistainter.com/reviews/0/24hostingnow.com/)

I'd rather not risk it.

Here's the real deal with them ... 24hostingnow!

Firstly, we have been with them for about 5.5 years as well with a Resellers Plan account and grew from hosting 5 accounts to now up to 105 accounts.
Now... the individual who stated that 24hostingnow probably showed up and made that post is most likely 100% correct ... they do have a reputation for doing that A LOT if not ALWAYS.
There is another forum I am not sure if I am allowed to mention the other sites name so I wont at this point ,However, over at that forum everytime someone would (including us ) post having a problem with them ... followed by any complaints would be a string of praisers ,praising the site until everyone caught on and starting compalining about it .
There is even a thread over there where 24hostingnow posted they would no longer make anymore post there or return to that particular forum ( cause they had got caught at it )!.

Over the past 5 and 1/2 years we have seen before our eyes these people go from fantastic to bad to worse to .... welll you know the other word .
There sites bost a 99.9 uptime but in no way is that true or anywhere even close , these days we would have to say more like a 75% uptime , in fact they are down AGAIN RIGHT NOW (their main site) as well as ALL of our sites that we host and once again our customers are P***ed to say the least .

We have been looking to move all of our sites ,However, trying to move that many sites over to a new host is gonna be a pain which is the ONLY reason we have not left yet BUT WE WILL and SOON ... VERY SOON !

Additional info... They seem to have changed hands a number of times from what we can tell.

We have the system set in place that whenever any of our sites we host go down we get alerted and that report details whiat time the site(s) went down and how long they've been down and when they come back up etc etc .

There is A LOT of downtime ... A LOT !

There is much more that I have to say but am short on time right now so I will return with an update .

Updates and a major correction from within our original post .

They once again are experiencing problems and emails are not getting thru to our hosted sites customerservice boxes and their live chat is down once again and emails to them are once again bouncing back "Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender‏"... Mailer Daemon etc etc

To make a major correction and here it is :
"grew from hosting 5 accounts to now up to 105 accounts".
This should read we grew from 5 accounts up to 105 accounts However, then over time (aprroximately 3 months ) lost 56 accounts due to the excessive downtime and other issues that were completely beyond our control.
We are at this point pretty much outta there as soon as we find a good reliable host with a resellers plan ... we are testing out a few with a few of our sites.

We did however just recently discover something rather interesting...
24 hostingnows online payment processor is 2checkout and from what they told us , whenever thier (24hostingnows) site is down and/or they are experiencing downtime they are supposed to report this to 2checkout and do not !
So now whenever they're down ... us and others who now know this report directly to 2checkout that they are down .
Reason to report to 2checkout ...
They are in effect collecting funds for a service that they are not delivering .
