Special Javascript Link Help

I am wondering if there is a way to create a link that will direct you to a page on my site and then execute javascript in the url like:

<a href="page.html javascript:document.etc"></a>

I am interested in using this to create a cool application along the lines of what sharedcopy.com does.

Anyone know a way to do this. All help would be greatly appreciated.

one possibility is to stick them into the location hash, "page2.html#alert('hello');" and have page2's script look into eval(window.location.hash.substring(1)) ?
