JavaScript in Border

I have a javascript in the left border section of my website. ALthough, the script operates well when I preview the border, it does not work when I include the border in the web pages. ANy suggestion on how I can cure this problem?

Actually, that is a Java applet, not a JavaScript. Two different languages. :eek:
