Log in script

Hi!

I'm in a need for good advices about log in scripts.

I've been searching all over the internet (www.hotscripts.com and the like) for a simple log in script that is free and doesn't contain any link advertisement or copyright texts but found none.

There are several scripts that seem to be free of advertisement but there always seems to be somekind of catch.

I'd like to have a cgi script that uses htaccess / htpasswd (a simple text based system i mean) and the log in would be
made via custom log in page (not the usual htaccess login page)

Any recommendations?
