Google has a Favicon

Looks like google got a favicon! I kind of liked it without a favicon, for some reason.

I thought it used to have a different favicon?
But either way the new one stands out and doesn't fit in with the rest of the page. Pretty ugly even.

Yeah I think it used to have a favicon too, like a blue, capitalized serif G (blue or red on white background). But this new favicon also caught my eye.

That's because the old one actually looked well and went with the page. The new one doesn't fit in and sticks out. Really ugly

Depends what your iGoogle theme is like. To be honest it's a general fail :thumbsup:

yea count me in as one of those people who don't like the favicon. I liked it better without one.

I like but I think it should be transparent.

I thought it was transparent? I see it taking on a nasty greyish color when I'm using the network computer in IE7, and I can see my loading-barish thing in the address bar through it

Just my two cents here, I really am not a fan of the new google favicon at all, as some have said it just doesnt blend in at all.

I guess I will still use google though :p

Hmm so it is transparent. There seems to be a darker transparency towards the bottom.

I personally liked the old one. Where did the purplish color come from?

Yeah its the current search icon for the google search in Firefox.

And the G was capitalized and red. now it is lowercase and blue. I wonder what that says about Google? Now more soothing and laid back?
