I'd always relied on the fact that only Konqueror returned anything but undefined for "navigator.vendor", as the first step in identifying it.
But now ... as of 1.3a, I'm finding that Mozilla returns an empty string!
Wassup with that?

Well, I know that Mozilla has no "vendor", and therefore returns an empty string. I also know that Netscape 6.x returned "Netscape6" for vendor, etc.
I can't say for sure, but I believe that navigator.vendor automatically parses the userAgent for information... hence the empty string for Moz.
I believe this because k-meleon returns correct information for an incorrect userAgent string, and Galeon (Linux) returns an empty string because it's userAgent value is also incorrectly done.
