what user information we can get via php scripts when visit website

i want to know what type of information we can get about users when they visit our website .

we can get IPaddress but

Is it possible to get windows username and other things with php or with javascript

No. Maybe with ActiveX, but I doubt it.

The two I find most important are:

$ipaddress = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];
$website = $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_REFERER'];

IP address so I know were my visitors are from and the website that they come from if there was a link to my site.
