View Full Version : HTML table & Flash Problem

Okay, I've been fighting this for days and am frustrated. I have installed an amazing flash gallery on my site and am trying to add some navigation buttons to the right of the gallery - requiring that I put a simple table in.

So I code the HTML and add the table, then move all the coding for the gallery into the table row that I want, then upload it to my server... when I look at it online, the gallery is completely gone. This is ridiculous - I'm truly not a moron when it comes to coding, I've been doing it for years - but this one has me stumped. I'm sure it's simple, but my eyes are crossed from looking at the coding so long.

Here is the page: http://www.familymemoriesandmore.com/images/portfolio/xmlGallery.html

Any help greatly appreciated...

Sorry - I had removed the table, but re-added it for discussion:

<body>
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100&#37;">
<tr>
<th colspan="2"><img src="http://www.familymemoriesandmore.com/images/phlogo1.jpg"></th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="86%"><div id="flashcontent">
<h1><font color="#999999">Oops!</font></h1>
<p><font color="#999999">It looks like you don't have flash player 6 installed.
<a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" >Click here</a>
to go to Macromedia download page. </font> </p>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject("xmlGallery.swf", "gallery", "100%", "100%", "6", "#333333");
so.write("flashcontent");
</script></td>
<td width="14%">(desired menu)</td>
</tr>
</table>

</body>

try this

<td width="86&#37;" ><div id="flashcontent"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="xmlGallery.swf" style="" id="gallery" name="gallery" bgcolor="#333333" quality="high" height="500px" width="100%"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject("xmlGallery.swf", "gallery", "100%", "100%", "6", "#333333");
so.write("flashcontent");
</script></td>

Hope that works

Well, you must've gotten it to work - I was doing it the hard way, instead of "cheating" with Dreamweaver's "add media" options...

Senility is rough.
