Why can't I have an Avatar?

Hey! Why when I choose to get an avatar, I get a radio button, thats ticked, saying 'Do not use an avatar' and when I click it, it stays checked. Any idea?

You must be a member for a certain length of time (I believe 3 months) and have a certain post count (don't recall the number of posts) before the avatar option is enabled.

Babies r not allowed to have avatars (above 10 only) :D

it just takes a little time, 365 posts/3 mo.s for me
