Anyone know if this page is outdated: http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_secure_mail.asp
Is that all you need to do to secure your form?

If not, what other measures should be taken to make sure your email form is secure?

Thats actually pretty unsecure.

Here are some good reads:

The one found here is probably one of the better ones. I use many of the techniques discussed in it on my contact form.

Yah I was wondering I never saw people using filter sanitize email before lol. I'll read up on those. Thanks.

Very basic, so name, email, and a message. Is there a difference?

Yes as you need to validate against different inputs. For example if you wanted a phone number in your form, you would need to make sure its a possible valid phone number. If you have a comments form you would want to make sure that any links or html wasn't put into the comments area. You may want to try some form of captcha while this isn't full proof, its better.
