Windows Movie Maker

I've got a problem with Windows Movie Maker.

I am currently working on a video which, at the moment, is over seven minutes long. However, every time I click on certain imported video files, Movie Maker, followed by my computer as a whole, crashes.

I've scanned for viruses using AVG Free and found none, so why does it do this? It's really starting to annoy me, as it has now happened ten times. Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Another thing is, why does everything on the timeline shrink when you open a new file? That's annoying as well - but can it be fixed?

That happens with mine - try uninstalling and installing etc...

I'm only going to do that as a last resort. I'm downloading SP3 at the moment, so I will see if that fixes it.

In the meantime, however, other suggestions are welcome.

OK, but uninstalling and installing worked for me. Now mine can hold lonnger videos.
