CSS working in IE but not Firefox

If I specify a height in #news it will work fine, but then it won't scale to the content...

#news {
width: 604px;
float: left;
}

The #container is suppose to wrap a border around all of it, but doesn't for some reason in FireFox.

Here's what it's suppose to look like (as it does in IE):

Any ideas or workaround ideas? I must be doing something wrong. Thanks.

Thanks! I used the "overflow: auto;" in my containers and it worked great.
