Can anyone provide tutorial on slicing the psd file

Is it possible for some one to provide me the tutorial which descibes how to build the website homepage in Photoshop and then how to slice it and then how to use those slices in making website.

I have been trying for a while and i have now 1 psd file . Now i don't know how to slice and how to use it on website. I had to again start from basic html to build the website
