View Full Version : Javascript Login

Hi there,

I am looking for a Javascript login for a website. The user will need to login and then there will be about 10 pages for them to view. I have found a lot of Javascript logins which seem to work for one page but I need one that can protect all the pages. For example a login may take somebody to .../index.htm and then they can navigate to .../index2.htm etc however if you didn't login and just went to the webpage .../index2.htm this needs to direct people to a login page.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Not possible to create an effective login system by javascript since this is entirely a client side language. So people can see/modify/even disable javascript. You could use some serverside scripts for this.

Have a look at Borgtex's solution:-

Disabling JavaScript will prevent access to the site.

But I agree that server-side scripting would be a better solution.

Thanks for your advice. Is there an easy way to create a login that is secure that is non-javascript?
