sorry if this is in the wrong section. My layout works fine in firefox except my content in the center doesn't show up. In IE the content shows up but the left side doesn't. I'm pretty sure its my ad code but it doesn't matter where I put it messes something up. where should i be putting it?

I'm sorry, but is not so hard you think it is, :)

first message:

Line 7, Column 56: end tag for "link" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified.

You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to "self-close" an element, that is, ending it with "/>" instead of ">".


that means this:


<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css">


will become this:


<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" />


take it from the top and modify the page source until it validate. Read carefull the message from the validation page and if you are stuck post what you don't understand.
Validate after you modify the page, the validator show more error the are because some of them trigger another errors.


any empty element like meta, link, img must ends in /> instead of >.

you must give a name to your picture in case that somebody look to your page with a text browser, something like that:


<img alt="my favorite band, Iron Maiden" ....

okay i validated it. but that was never hte problem. my ad code is still screwing with my layout. i dont understand it. it doesnt matter where i put it does the samething. :( do you know why this could be?
