View Contents of current folder

I want to read the contents of the current folder and can someone tell me aswell how to read file contents, thanks in Advance

JavaScript doesn't have file system access so you can't read a directory.

What are you trying to accomplish?

I currently succeeded in including a js file into my shools website using a textbox edit where we can post stuff, now I can execute javascript functions and want to find out some stuff, some help please?

You will need to call a server script to read a directory
