How do you guys create such boxes and lines on an Image using photoshop as shown in the screenshot below?

Well the boxes can be made with the box tool, the lines can be made with the line tool. They are both the same tool, just separate abilities in the same tool. It might be called the shape tool, but I know you hit U on the keyboard and it pulls it up.

You could also use the pen tool, probably to help you make the lines.

Then you can apply a shadow, stroke, and so on.

I thought there was some kinda pre-made pattern for this, so I just apply the pattern and I am done. no?

You'll have to find the pattern first, because to apply a pattern, you must first have it loaded. I found the marquee tool is my most versatile too for boxes and lines. Make sure to keep all your layers separate and just fill boxes until you find something you like.

On the other hand, there are a number of brush presets you might like as well already loaded with Photoshop/GIMP/whatever-else-you're-using.
