Upon Receive Email, SMS Sent To Phone

Hi,

Had a client today asking if it was possible to have an SMS message sent to his phone upon receiving an email.
I have checked around on the forums and on google with no luck.
This seems like a no-go really, but i just wanted others opinions if possible.

I have an orange email address and I can specify a mobile phone number to alert when I get an email from a specific address (This has to be done on the website though and not the client).

So, it can be done but I suspect it will have to be done on the mail server and it will also cost money.

Perhaps you can speak to his mail provider.

There is desktop software called fastsms (cant get to the site from work) which can send SMS from your PC. Perhaps if you set up events on your mail client which would trigger fastsms to send the text. This would also cost money and would require the desktop to be on always.
