Special Character Problem.

Hey everyone,
Could someone please give me some advice on this problem.

When I echo out information from a table with a £ sign in it, Im a shown a black diamond with a question mark. Does anyone know how I would get a £ sign to be shown instead??

Have a try with your meta tag
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

I checked and my meta tag is utf-8.
Would I need to convert £ to &pound; when I submit it to my database and if so how would i do it?

Have a look at htmlentities() (http://in.php.net/htmlentities)
