It looks VERY similar. Try to create a new design, or at least, use different colors

ive only looked at your first page, but:
your logo and the images acting as title bars on those boxes have such low contrast they are hard to read
at first i thought the design was good, but when i saw it was actually not your design it completely put me off. try starting from scratch and coding a page - in the end you will know that it is your design not someone elses and you'll be alot more satisfied with it.
"user info" should go. i dont need to be told what browser and os im using... and anyone that did wouldnt know what they mean anyways. ;)
its a great start

Very pale, too little contrast, and FOR CRYING OUT LOUD keep your hands of my scroll bar!!! Yes, that's right, MY scroll bar! It was perfect sitting on the right side and I really don't need you to move it to the left.

Ha ha! I told someone once how to put the scrollbars on the left with an ignored warning and a week later, they had to put it on back on the right because everyone didn't see there was a page to scroll.
We are creatures of habit...
If you're just starting out, I highly recommend pre-made templates which are highly functional, appealing, and free. Just add water. :D

the highlighted cells in the "news" type section are a bit misleading, seems as though if i click it something would happen.
take the scrollbar opinions into consideration, manipulating the browser like that is always fun, but can annoy people, plus as zoobie stated, i didnt even know the page went below my window because i didnt see the scrollbar at first ....
