View Full Version : Quick Q: Best way to scale and zoom entire game?

I was thinking of different ways to scale and zoom in a game, and the best way i can think of is to encase all the game sprites/mcs inside a game MovieClip and scale and pan that underneath the interface.
It would be wasteful to try to scale and move every single element in the game I would think.

agreed, and performance would probably be dismal.
Not sure if we are talking 1000x1000 or 10,000x10,000, but assuming the movie clip doesn't get too large that would be the best idea that I can think of. Otherwise there has to be something better because some peoples computer just wouldn't be able to handle a million square pixels of raw flash action.
