password to insanity? No ! not accepted.

A friend of mine has failed to get into his Vista Home Premium as his password is not accepted. He turned his laptop off last night normally. This am it will not take his password.:confused:

Any ideas on what to do?

Boot up into safe mode. On the logon screen you should see the Admin account. Most people don't set a password on the admin account so he should be able to just click the Username and log in. From there he can change the password of the other account.
