I want to create a new opening page for my website, but I can't figure out how to do what I want to do. I have a crime website, and a picture of a door. I want the visitor to be able to click on the door, the door opens, and then is sent to my main page. What type of script would you use for this? CSS, JAVA, etc? Is this even possible? Thanks for any help.

Since it's an Animation, Flash would be what you'd use. At least I think so, I don't use flash.

That type of page is called a splash page. And usually they aren't a good idea to have, it usually is just an annoyance on your visitors, especially repeat visitors.
However to do what you want, a flash animation would work. Just make sure you leave a text link on the page to skip it so that flash isn't required to use your site.

You can have two version of your websites on the main homepage.
a) FLASH VERSION and b) Static html version.
Let users to decide whether they want to see flash version or static version. It will also help search engines since they cannot properly crawl flash intros. :o
