I have been trying desperately hard to remove the rather annoying box that appears around a flash file on Internet explorer. I know of two ways to do this using a swfobject.js and ieupdate.js but none of these will work on ebay. Ebay do not allow certain JavaScript files so I cannot use any of these. What's even more annoying is that I know there is a way of doing it on ebay as another member does it...see here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Nice-New-Car-Ltd

I have tried using a similar code to them which you can see below but this also does not work.

<script>document.write ("<object type='application/x-shockwave-flash' data='http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/ebay_management/flash_movie.swf'><param name='movie' value='http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/ebay_management/flash_movie.swf'>");</script>
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
<!--[if !IE]> <-->
<script>document.write ("<object data='http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/ebay_management/flash_movie.swf' type='application/x-shockwave-flash'>");</script>
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="pluginurl" value="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
</object>
<!--> <![endif]-->
</object>

I know a very limited amount of JavaScript and so therefore don't really understand how they are getting it to work.

Can anyone help?

They are using frooition so its likely they are able to do that as I think frooition has a deal with ebay or something. Do you have a link to your ebay page?
