Wow, just got a pack of these, they are actually credit card sized too:

Only 30mb space but that's plenty 'nough for a portfolio or VC. :D:cool:

I've seen those before... pretty nifty.
Where'd you get them?

I got them from Maplin, just to test out really, They come in little plastic wallets but you can also buy them little cases for distribution. They do 8cm diameter disks too.
Oh look my server is down... as usual

I saw an article on them a while back, but never actually seen one in real life.
Although I have a lot of miniCD which are not mini disk rather just small cds' .. I was planning on using them for my portfolio but I'd be interested in some smaller ones. :D
How much did you pay for them? And what speed can you write to them at?

You could have a great portfolio on these. Set up apache, php, and mysql and show a dynamic site to impress your clients. Of course you'd have to configure them so they don't write on the CD, but that shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

You could do that?
Seeeeet! lol :D
You can get ASP plugins for APACHE can't you?
If so that'd be good. I could have an ASP and a PHP version once I'm better at PHP.
Could you really set-up apache, php and mysql on a cd ?? or was that a joke
If so how ? and articles about that ??

Well, I'm pretty sure the only thng you need to do is set up a configuration script (batch or shell) and have the user click on that to configure apache (httpd.conf), php (php.ini) and mysql on their system. Not sure about running mysql on a CD, but I'm fairly confident it can be done with Apache and php. The only thing you need to do is make sure any logging files (or files that need to change) don't try to write to the CD.

I think it was Verbatim that came out with this CD-R that looked like a record. It had the grooves and stuff on the top. Never actually seen one tho.
