Hi

This website LUXRATING.63.RU seams to have linked my site to theres without my permission and the page that has my link on it is in google. To me this looks like a link farm. I've tried to email them requesting they remove it but the mailbox doesn't exist. Will this hurt my already low ranking site and what can i do to get my link off of there or at least be unaffected by google?

Thanks

Other than changing your domain name, not much you can do about it.
Your low ranking is probably more affected by your content than link farms.

With some search engines, it's good to have sites link to yours.
That's sort of the whole point of having link farms. I'm not sure if
Google approves or not.

why did you say that is a link farm? I search for it and seems to be a web directory.
is ugly but I don't see any reason to say that could harm you.
do you have any reason to beleave that?

google gives slight ranking penalties for link farms at worst, content is really the big seller, change it often & make it popular, the link farm (which may be a web-directory) should have minimal impact

Ok thanks what lead me to believe it was a link farm was the fact that the delete this link email address wasn't working, the design and I never asked them to put my link on there. The domain name is kind of strange too. But I put the link on here so the SEO pros and coders can tell me if I was right or wrong or at least voice there opinion as to if they think it is spam or not.

Would not having alot of links from other sites cause my low rank. My site is about a yr old and I just started link building im doing slowly so the search engines dont think im spamming the net. My content is pretty good. Its a real estate search site.

the web directory have no mail server configured or is blocked by various isp between you and them.
I look for it, domain seems ok, server mail seems to fall in one of this cases.

a link farm means hundreds or thousends of links from few pages to your site, this case is out of question, :)
despite this is anti-bussines to do a link farm on your domain and doing on others domain involve a lot of money.

you could block them if you want but I think that you have no reason to do that.

PS: iif you decide to block them, I try to help you

http://clickonlinehomes.com

is a chain:
- the content is invisible, your site is not seo, => few backlinks
- few backlinks => low page rank, few indexed pages, low trafic, ...

For real estate sites the real problem is not the content, is the duplicate content, :)
It's hard to list a lot of property and make se to understand that.

If you make the site se friendly you solve this problem.

Ok I guess I'll just take them linking me as a compliment for now but just in case they start to move over to link farming it might be useful to know how to block them. Any info would be great

Thanks

you can put in your .htaccess file something like that:

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} domainname
RewriteRule .* - [F,L]

Use it with only if you don't have another choice.
Depends on server settings, but usualy work fine, :)
